WELL COME EVERYBODY

My name is Ali al-Hammadi I am a student at AbuDhabi Men’s College and this is the second year for me at the college. I will study chemistry because after graduation I am going to work at Oil Company.I live originally in Dubai but during the week I live in Abu Dhabi in my father’s house. At the end of the week I return back to Dubai. I am married and I have daughter. Her name is Dana. I enjoy in my life and I hope for everybody to enjoy in their life. I like to spend my time to visit my family, neighbors and my friends. In the weekend I like to go to desert with my friends. Some times we go to Hata is a village at Dubai suburb and camping there.Finally, this blog about global warming and social issues and I hope you to enjoy on it.

Global Warming

Global warming will be the greatest environmental challenge in the 21st century. Global warming is the increase of the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation. It happen by burning fossil such as coal, gas and oil so that the amount of carbon will increase dramatically in the Earth’s atmosphere. The problem is understood by comparing it to a green house .A greenhouse is a structure with a glass or plastic roof and frequently glass or plastic walls; it heats up because incoming solar radiation from the sun. The global effect to the greenhouse effect cannot be directly predicted simply because we do not have enough knowledge in the subject or this problem. However, we have been able to draw direct connections between certain natural phenomenons that support the idea that something is changing. In these days they are many agencies try to find solutions for this problem.

My reaction on An incononveinent truth movie

In this essay I will show you my opinion about the incononveinent truth with the reason which let me enjoy it.

In my opinion it was an interesting movie because the lecturer interprets in the movie the changes in climate and the temperature and he describes the results of these changes. Such as the breaking and the melting of the ice in west. In addition, he concentrated in the movie how global warming can effect in environment and climate. However we saw how Mr. AL-Gore he traveled from one place to another and how he is determined to find solution for this problem by making conferences about global warming. Nevertheless he also makes the lecture funny in that he does not only talk about information on the subject of the film. In addition he mentioned possible solutions for the "global warming" like trying to reduce our carbon emissions in the world. That demonstrates for us that he not only looking for the problem only he also finds some solutions for it.

This is precisly about why I like this movie.

Lebanon

Lebanon is one of the beautiful countries in the world. It is called the land of milk and honey in the bible. This is one of the names of the Lebanon. The nickname of the capital (Beirut) is Paris of the East. Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Palestains and Cuprus are five countries which surround Lebanon.

In 1943, Lebanon got independent from France. However, there were some tensions between Muslims and Christian’s because the Christian held the balance of power and Muslim’s didn’t accept that. The tensions reached their peak in 1975 after members of radical Christians’ group attacked and killed a bus full of Palestinians in Beirut. The result of incident was revenge killings and violence began to spiral out of control. In 1982 the Israeli army invaded the city with the aim of removing the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). Finally in 1989 a peace sign deal between Muslim and Christian.

Now there are some signs of social and economic recovery in Beirut such as US- style shopping malls. Building cranes are everywhere; high ways carry high speed traffic and wonder corniche. On the other hand there are current problems in the country like 300,000 young people left their home. Foreigners are taking over and unemployment remains very high. These days if you go there you will especially enjoy during the winter People ski on the snow-covered mountains whereas during the summer they can enjoy in the Beach. The Mountains and the beach is only twenty minutes from each other.

Carbon footprint

A carbon footprint is a total amount of greenhouse gases which is produce by human daily activities. For example, when we drive a car the engine will burns fuel which creates CO2. In addition, the increasing of CO2 will also effect to the global warming. However when I measured my footprint I get an average of 6.08 that mean I need 2 earths. Also my average of four persons of my classmate was 7.05, 6.51, 6.52and 7.59. Now I am going to discuss the problem and solution for this problem.

I will start with the problem of this and I am one of these problem because I contribute to greenhouse when I travel any short vacation by car, also I don’t recycle any product that already I used such as cans, paper and plastic bottles. Nevertheless, I used too much electricity in my life and everybody knows that in our country we produce electricity by burning fuel gas, natural gas and propane as a result all of these will produce carbon dioxide

Now I will discuss the possible solution for this problem. The first one is recycle our materials which are able to recycle like aluminum paper, plastic cans and paper. In addition, I can reduce it by minimize using of energy such as switch off lights and application when I not used and guide my friends also about this also I can eat less food.

Finally, it’s never late to make a change. A change can be possible if everybody want to change which would change everybody carbon footprint and reduce it.
